with the sole purpose of

professionals easier. The
software was developed by a
group of programmers with
extensive backgrounds in
security and law enforcement
and the idea was to create a
solution that would
streamline the reporting
process, improve the overall
quality of reports, and
produce a wealth of
statistics that would
identify trends and hotspots
throughout the organization.
The Report Exec Software
Suite has been evolving for
years with countless
additions to the program
based on ideas and
suggestions from our
customers. As a result,
Report Exec has become an
incredibly feature-rich
program that is simple to
use and very effective. The
Report Exec suite is
currently used by over 1,200
agencies worldwide and
continues to advance with
updates to the program that
take advantage of new
technological advances and
adapt to the ever changing
environment of security and
law enforcement
professionals.

My name is Sean
Mars and I am the
Owner and CEO of
Competitive Edge
Software,
Incorporated. My
background is Law
Enforcement and
Computer
Programming. During
my high school and
college years I
worked as a security
guard part-time
and after I
earned my Bachelor
of Science Degree in
Computer Science and
Psychology, I became
a police officer.
As a police officer
I quickly realized
that software made
for police officers
was not easy to use
or law enforcement
friendly. I wrote a
software program for
my own police
department to
automate all of our
arrests which saved
incredible time and
resources. I also
realized at that
time that my goal
for becoming a
police officer was
to "Help People”
which ultimately
meant help: “Law
Enforcement and
Security People” so
I left law
enforcement and
started working on
my company
full-time. My main
goal for starting
this company in 1995
was to create the
best law enforcement
and security
software available
that was easy to
use. Looking back
now after 15 years
of work, I am proud
to say that our
software has been
used in over 1200
agencies and I enjoy
hearing feedback of
how the software has
really helped them.
